domestic sugar

over the holiday, i snagged my grandmother's cookie dough recipe from my mom. these were my favorite cookies when i was growing up. they are little bon bon cookies with hershey kisses in the center and a small amount of icing on top.
so sunday i started baking....

and last night i took a sewing 101 class at The Sewing Lounge in burbank. It's the first of 3 classes, each 3 hours long. i thought it might be a long time to sew, but it went by super quick! there were only 4 of us. besides going over the basics of sewing, i also made a little pouch with zipper! (and a bottom! which blew my mind) the colors are so bright and candy like.

oh excitement!
can't wait for the other projects to begin.

not only did i learn all about my sewing machine, and am excited to start my next project, but i also made
