work trip for less than 72 hours to meet with clients, and our ny offices

near Rockefeller Center

and then....

had a beautiful lunch with some lovely ladies from a publishing company

restaurant was called spice market i think.

YUM!

and really, these ladies are awesome awesome awesome. i had a wonderful lunch with them

then, while i was in chelsea market, i "accidentally" found:

(i enjoyed the one with dried cherries. hubby liked the mint chocolate and caramel ones i brought home or him)

i stayed with my friend c

while planning on meeting my sister for lunch the next day, i put out the subway map...

and what do you know but good ole' kitty said, "no! you shall not look at manhattan!" and laid right on top of the island.

i gave up and looked it up the next day because i know my place and i know his place and his place was on manhattan

and on my bed

lunch with my lil sis (though she's waaay taller than me)

really nice place near where she works

awesome food

and she had a schnitzel... or something

dragging her to the new space that is purl soho

bought lots of fabric, but no pic (to incriminate me- my hubby sees this blog)

one of the gifts my a got me was a gift certificate to the sewing lounge in burbank for some sewing lessons!

of course, i think its a good idea to check out a fabric store on our holiday!

here is some of the fabric i bought.

my good friend k was kind enough to take hubby to an art gallery while i shopped. a good deal later, here was some of the stuff i ran away with!

i love the honeycomb with the bee. it's a heavy canvas fabric.

birds, butterflies and owls.

so amazing! wheeeee!

i also dragged my dear to the lion brand yarn studio. it's beautiful inside. stunning. i was so good not to buy anything (yarn diet) and had already spent a good month's worth of allowance on the fabric above anyway. but sooo tempting

sadly it was time to go. we had to get back to nj for dinner with friends

and after being dragged around nyc from fabric store to yarn store, holding a large bag of very heavy fabric all day, i think hubby was done.

love makes you do crazy things.
